Twelve men have been charged as part of a crackdown on organised crime in North Manchester.

Connor Hegarty, 19, of Old Mill Street in Ancoats has been charged with supplying class A drugs and psychoactive substances.

Paul Gairns,38, of HMP Manchester,Kieran O’Leary,32, of Edenbridge Road, James O’Leary, 31,of Millway Walk, Kieran Farrell,51,  Willowdene Close, Callum Gairns, 19, of Bollington Road, Damien Dey,28, of Coalbrook Walk,Michael Bradley,26,  of Old Mill Street has and Bailey Elms, 19, of Dalbury Drive has been charged with supplying Class A drugs.

Darren Archer, 38of Denver Avenue has been charged with supplying Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.

Mark Duffy,33 of Oldershaw Drive and John Peacock,48, of no fixed address has been charged with supplying class A drugs.

All have been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 3 February 2017.

The arrests follow warrants at a number of addresses across Miles Platting and Ancoats as part of Operation Rudow; a multi-agency operation targeting organised crime and the supply of drugs in North Manchester this morning
