Salford were left ‘disappointed’ and ‘frustrated’ following a late defeat against Widnes says Head Coach Ian Watson.

The Red Devils were unable to record successive Betfred Super League victories as Widnes Vikings came from behind to triumph 24-16 in an entertaining contest at the Select Security Stadium.

The Red Devils led heading into the final fifteen minutes however tries from Greg Burke and Aaron Heremaia were the difference between the sides.

Watson said: “After 65 minutes we were disappointed to go on to lose the game because you feel like you’re in control.

“The sin-bin didn’t help us at that point and then I think they then had nine sets to our one in that next ten minute spell which really sealed the game for them.
