A man who told police that “You will never catch me” has been jailed for eight years along with his associate in supplying drugs across the Bury area

Thirty year old Jordan Winstanley.used street couriers to deliver cocaine and cannabis to customers in the Bury area. His co conspirator Carl Allan aged 47 was one of those couriers.

The initial investigation started in August 2022 when Winstanley was linked to a drugs line from mobile phone analysis. He was arrested and later charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs and bailed to court for a trial in 2025.

However, in March 2024 Winstanley was again linked to a new drugs line after the arrest of Hill on suspicion of drug supply offences.

Winstanley was jailed for eight years after pleading guilty to four counts of conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.

Allan was jailed for two years and three months after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.

Detective Constable Prince, of the Bury Challenger group, said: “This was a long investigation into two separate but linked drugs lines between July 2022 and November 2024.

“Winstanley stated to officers “You will never catch me” only two weeks prior to being arrested in 2022. He didn’t believe he would be caught, but our officers were already investigating his web of criminality, finding incriminating evidence at his home and later on his mobile phone.

“Let this case serve as a reminder to those engaging in criminality across Greater Manchester – we are coming for you and we will not relent in our pursuit of justice.
