A 20-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on Mancunian Way in the early hours of this morning
Police say that they believe the woman was walking towards the eastbound carriage way of the A57 (Mancunian Way), crossed the eastbound carriage way safely and waits in the central reservation of the carriage way.
Then attempting to cross the westbound carriageway, she is then struck.
Anyone who witnessed this incident, have dash cam footage from that area during that time period or any information that could assist enquiries is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting Log 222 of 08/10/2022.
