You might end up staying longer so bring more items that you need which you can easily return with you later.

If you are from Liechtenstein, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, or the EU, you should be able to enter just with your passport. They take even fewer precautions if you are from Ireland or Wales which is understandable. But, you might need additional papers if you are outside of the EU.
There are a few types of travel visas you can get for the UK. Some of them include tourist, transit, work, study, and other visas. Check online if you need to apply for one. It’s usually a very simple process but it’s not as easy to acquire. A good thing is that you can do it multiple times and try out your luck.
