Kier Starmer, Andy Burnham and Angela Rayner all appeared together at the Holy Trinity primary school in Ashton this morning.
The PM along with his Education Secretary were there to announce that 33 new free breakfast clubs will open across Greater Manchester this week, giving 10,000 more children a free, healthy start to the school day.
The visit also saw coincided with the Government’s announcement that school dinners will get healthier from September
Fried food including chicken nuggets and fish and chips will be banned from being served in schools to reduce obesity
Pizza and sausage rolls will be severely limited, and desserts will also need to be at least 50% fruit
The trio chatted to the children over their preferences for food and the topic of Gorton and Denton was certainly not up for discussion
Rayner has recently intimated that she does not want to be the one to launch a leadership campaign against the Prime Minister while yesterday in an opp piece for the Mail on Sunday Burnham supporter Sacha Lord said that he regretted donating to Kier Starmer’s leadership campaign
