Waterstones is pleased to announce the opening of a new bookshop in the Greater Manchester area. Waterstones at John Lewis in Cheadle will open its doors to customers on the 29th of August 2025, bringing a bookshop to even more readers.
Situated on the ground floor of the popular store, Waterstones will be extensively stocked with a thoughtfully curated selection of nearly 20,000 books, covering a wide variety of genres that will appeal to casual browsers and avid readers alike.

The new shop opening follows the success of Waterstones at John Lewis Oxford Street, London, which opened last year. The bookseller will continue their venture with John Lewis next month with the opening of Waterstones at John Lewis Bluewater, the second Waterstones bookshop in the popular shopping centre, on the 12th of September 2025.
