Voicescape – the UK’s leading provider of resident engagement solutions for social landlords and local authorities – has strengthened its team with the appointment of a number of industry specialists, as it continues to go for growth post-investment.

In the last 12 months, the Manchester-based software business has appointed 15 people, increasing its headcount for the financial year 2023/24 by 50%. This includes Charlie Haywood, Voicescape’s new Head of Compliance and Data Protection, Victoria Noble, who joins as Local Government Sector Lead, and Steven Skarratt, who has been appointed as Technical Director.

With a career spanning 15 years in data protection, including a decade at the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), Charlie Haywood will provide industry-leading data protection expertise as Voicescape continues to evolve and expand its solutions portfolio.

She is joined by Victoria Noble, who has more than 30 years’ experience across a diverse range of sectors, including data compliance, local government and NHS. She will be responsible for supporting local authority revenues and benefits departments in increasing council tax collection rates and streamlining processes.

Steven Skarratt brings over a decade of experience in the healthcare technology sector, where he has worked with a diverse range of customers across various healthcare domains, leading product and development teams that deliver solutions that meet and exceed customer needs. In his role at Voicescape, Steven will be at the helm of the business’ research and development, behavioural insights, and application support team, as it continues to expand and enhance its product portfolio.

Other new appointments include: William Lizr, Behavioural Insights Analyst; Harry Dance and Alicja Kolasinska, Junior Data Scientists; Rhys Reynolds, Application Support Analyst; Jason Efstathiou, Junior Software Developer; Leandra Jackson, Business Analyst; Carly Harling, Implementation Specialist; Luca Malatacca and Grace Cooper, Business Development Managers; Lucy Ashall, Product Marketing Executive; Samantha Coppock, Sales Operation Manager; and Gabija Povilaityte, Sales Development Representative.

“To do this, we need to have the best team in place across all aspects of our business, ensuring that our technology continues to evolve at pace and in line with the ever-growing needs of social housing providers and local authorities. Each new member that has joined Voicescape in the last 12 months plays a pivotal role in driving our technology forward, ensuring that we continue to innovate and grow to better serve our customers.”

In April 2023, Voicescape secured a £9 million investment from BGF – one of the largest and most experienced growth capital investors in the UK and Ireland.

The significant investment is being used to expand Voicescape’s product suite and to invest in the development and growth of its AI-driven Caseload Manager solution.

Founded in 1998, Voicescape combines automation technology, behavioural insights, and data science to create bespoke communication solutions that help public service organisations drive substantial operational efficiencies and service improvements.

Voicescape works with more than 70 registered social housing providers and local authorities across the UK, empowering them to connect with their communities at scale across various critical touchpoints, including rent collection, customer satisfaction feedback, gas and safety checks.
