Officially launching on 23rd February, the new Sunday menu is eagerly anticipated by food fans after the recent glowing review of the restaurant from Jay Rayner.

Under the masterful guidance of Executive Chef Darren Parkinson, The Martlet Kitchen has curated a Sunday roast menu that promises to tantalise and delight even the most seasoned of roast lovers. Each dish is a blend of local ingredients, traditional flavours and contemporary flair.

The critically acclaimed Greater Manchester venue, which is gaining a reputation for excellence with the local foodie community – is set within the breathtaking confines of the newly restored Rochdale Town Hall – a grade 1 listed Victorian-Gothic masterpiece that is world-renowned as a marker of incredible British architecture. With its sweeping staircases, wood-panelled walls and ornate features, it provides the very grandest backdrop to Sunday dining.

The epic roasts menu features a selection of meat choices including Lee Frost’s prime roast beef, roasted leg of lamb or herb-fed roast chicken – all served with a Yorkshire pudding, seasoned roast potatoes, creamed potato, cauliflower cheese, seasonal greens, honey-glazed carrots and – of course – an entire JUG of gravy!

Veggies and fish lovers can also choose the homemade aged cheddar and onion pie, or pan-fried seabass with lemon and caper butter sauce – and vegans can enjoy a delicious roasted butternut squash.

Food fans can upgrade to a full three courses for just £28pp and enjoy starters including a Bury black pudding Scotch egg with homemade piccalilli or garlic and cheese stuffed Portobello mushroom, herb oil and Yorkshire blue cheese, and desserts including sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream and salted caramel sauce, Lancashire Blue cheese, warm Eccles cakes and artisan crackers or a selection of ice cream from nearby Grandpa Greene’s.

Tables are filling up fast for this much-anticipated Sunday roast menu launch. Secure your reservation now and prepare to indulge in the finest Sunday Roast Greater Manchester has to offer.
