The acclaimed and family run independent Sushi and Pan Asian Street food specialist Unagi has announced the launch of their fifth site in Salford Quays.

Following Altrincham, Cheetham Hill,
Wilmslow and West Didsbury, the new bar and restaurant in Salford Quays will feature the biggest sushi bar in the North.

The pure quality of the food and service has secured the family business the No.1 spot on Deliveroo for Japanese cuisine and People Choice Awards for quality and service at the Great British Street Food Awards.

The new site, which takes over the former 6,000 square foot Lime Bar in Salford Quays, sits opposite The Lowry Theatre next to Media City.

Set to become Salford’s new sushi social, the space is dominated by a striking, centralised Sushi Bar, where you can watch the Unagi sushi masters roll their award-winning and super fresh sushi creations to order.

The bar restaurant is also home to their Pan Asian Street Food Kitchen and the first ever, ‘Tokyo Seven’ cocktail bar; serving up Far East inspired twists on cocktail classics, from Asian Pornstars, Zen Garden Martini and Spicy Mango Margaritas.

“Our guests love to sit at the sushi bar in our Wilmslow restaurant, but spaces are limited so we always wanted to make this a key feature and now we finally have a restaurant with the room to do it,” said Owner and Co-founder Jo Vanderhook.

“It’s taken us a long time to get to this point, but we just love the idea of making fresh sushi more accessible, social and fun for everyone.”

As part of their soft launch, while David, Jo and their daughter Sadie get their team trained and the new site up to speed, they are offering 50% OFF their mouth-watering sushi plates, pan Asian street food dishes, ramen and noodles from the 2nd to 8th August – Monday to Friday from 12pm-9pm, when you book a table online and follow them on Instagram @foodunagi.

Places are limited.

The team have been working around the clock to transform the venue for their summer launch, complete with sun trap terrace. “It’s been a long journey, we can’t wait to show everyone,” Owner and Co-founder David Vanderhook added.
