Two men have been charged after a man was brutally assaulted in Farnworth.
Alex Coglan aged 28 of Ramsay Avenue, Farnworth and Ellis Hampson aged 19 of Oakfield Drive, Little Hulton have been charged with murder and remain in custody.
Coglan is due to appear at Manchester Crown Court, on Monday 19 June and Hampson is due to appear at Manchester City Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Saturday 17.
The charges relate to an incident last Friday 9 June when police were called to a report that a man had been assaulted around midday near to Century Mill, Farnworth.
He was taken to hospital for treatment but discharged himself the next day. He was readmitted two days later and sadly died on Tuesday 13 June 2017.
