Tampopo has been serving soothing and spicy South Asian street-food delicacies to the people of Manchester for 25 years. Their latest menu takes diners on a culinary tour of Thailand with dishes to share over four courses for just £24.50.

Diners will start their Thai Tour with two delicious starters: Tamarind Prawns, juicy tail on prawns coated in a sweet, salty and sour tamarind sauce, and the Spicy Thai Salad with cucumber, cherry tomato, fresh mint, peanuts, red onion, lamb’s lettuce, and radish in a chilli and lime dressing for a refreshing kick.

Next stop is the classic King Pad Thai made with either chicken or vegetables. The ‘King’ Pad Thai takes this favourite to the next level, wrapping the sour-sweet rice noodles in an omelette before serving.

Course three is Duck Thai Red Curry, a spicy coconut curry with lychees, cherry tomatoes, fine beans, Thai Basil & lime leaf served with steamed rice. Dessert is a fresh tasting mango sorbet, while tea and coffee are also included.

Tampopo launched their Taste Tours last year, giving diners a chance to try more dishes taken from the main menu in one meal, either served in slightly smaller portions or as sharing plates.

Originally called ‘Taste Tour Tuesdays’, the menu proved so popular with diners it’s now available every day. The menu changes with the season, the Thai Taste Tour will be available until the end of April, when the menu will change again.

Independently owned and operated Tampopo has three restaurants in Greater Manchester at Albert Square and The Corn Exchange in Manchester City Centre, and at The Trafford Centre, where they also have a takeaway kiosk.

Established in 1998 by co-founder David Fox, it was one of the first Pan Asian restaurants in Manchester and is one of the best known and loved restaurant brands in the city.

David is truly passionate about East Asian food and culture and has travelled all over the area to bring back his favourite dishes.

Diners can sign up to the Tampopo email list to be first to hear about Taste Tours as the menu launches.
