Steph Houghton has returned to Manchester City and assumed the positions of Club Ambassador and a Project Manager

The former City captain retired from playing at the end of the 2023/24 season after over a decade of service to the Blues where she guided the team to eight major trophies – including the 2016 Barclays Women’s Super League title.

First, in her new role of Ambassador she will join the likes of Club legends Mike Summerbee, Joleon Lescott and Shaun Wright-Phillips and act on behalf of the Club at various matches and events around the world – which included the recent Ballon d’Or ceremony in October.

This will also see Houghton break new ground again as she becomes the first-ever female to become an official representative of Manchester City.
