The Prime Minister will announce the launch of a new hospital service, called NHS Online in his speech to the Labour Party Conference this afternoon
The service will offer patients specialist online consultations from 2027 with people able to book video consultations with hospital specialists on an App.
Patients who require a physical test or a procedure will be able to book them on the app, at a nearby hospital, surgical hub or community diagnostic centre.
Starmer will promise that 8.5 million appointments and assessments will be made in the first three years alone and the Prime Minister will brand this ‘a new chapter in the story of our NHS, harnessing the future, patients in control’.
He is expected to say in his speech
