Alex says of her new position, “I’m buzzing with excitement at the opportunity to build a strong, creative programme that will challenge the talented children of Stagecoach East Manchester whilst being fun, educational, stimulating and rewarding for them.

“We have been extremely busy planning this year and its activities, as well as building a great team of performing arts teachers and staff to deliver high quality weekly sessions for children in Central and East Manchester and provide them with amazing performance opportunities”.

A long-standing member of the Stagecoach family, performing arts have been a major part of Alex’s life since 2013 when she took up the role of Singing teacher and later as the Principal of Stagecoach Halifax. Since then, her impressive ‘CV’ boasts performances at a number of iconic venues such as Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Bridgewater Hall and Manchester Arena.

Alex is excited to be performing as part of a singing ensemble with Andrea Bocelli in September as part of his UK tour in Liverpool and Sheffield.

Alex says:” Stagecoach schools and the ethos that Stagecoach brings became my real passion. It allows me to coordinate our talented team allowing them to be creative and develop together professionally. Seeing children growing in their confidence, from making little progress to achieving their dreams in big careers are truly rewarding. I wish every parent would consider bringing their children to Stagecoach. The changes we make in children’s development are priceless. Creativity, confidence, and resilience they gained once at Stagecoach will now forever reflect in all stages of their lives”

Stagecoach Performing Arts East Manchester is part of the biggest network of extra-curricular performing arts schools in the UK. The classes are divided across Early Stages (ages 4-6), Main Stages (ages 6-15) and Further Stages (ages 15+) and cover singing, dancing and acting.
