Speedrite, one of the UK’s leading specialists in machinery installation, relocation and logistics, has secured a new operational hub in Trafford Park.
The business, part of Gerritsen Group UK Ltd, has signed a 10-year lease on Unit A at Ashburton Point, a fully let industrial estate in the heart of Trafford Park. The high-spec, 11,134 sq ft warehouse was let on behalf of DTZ Investors, in a deal brokered by leading property consultancy JLL.
The letting marks full occupancy at Ashburton Point. Located off Wheel Forge Way, the estate offers excellent connectivity to the M60 motorway and sits just three miles from Manchester city centre. With close proximity to the Trafford Centre, MediaCityUK and Parkway Metrolink station, it will serve as a key logistics and project coordination hub for Speedrite’s expanding operations across the North West and beyond.
Unit A provides a modern industrial specification, including two level-access loading doors, LED lighting throughout, fitted office accommodation over two floors, and secure yard space – all essential features to support Speedrite’s specialist services in contract lifting, plant installation, storage and factory relocation.
Gary Fittes, Director at Speedrite, said: “Everything we do is about precision, safety and delivering on time and our new base at Ashburton Point gives us the ideal platform to do just that.
“The space, the access, and the location all work for the scale and speed of the projects we take on across the UK. The team at JLL really understood what we needed and made the whole process smooth from start to finish.”
