The desperate search is continuing for 19-year-old Jay Slater from Lancashire missing in Tenerife.
Search dogs, helicopters and mountain rescue teams are trying to find teenager from who last heard from on Monday morning when he phoned a friend and said he was lost and needed water.
The search has now moved from the islands rugged terrain to the tourist hotspots in the south with friends of Jay’s saying something weird is going on
Police have today confirmed the search for the 19-year-old has moved to the south of Tenerife and the tourist resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas.
A spokesman for the Civil Guard said at 12.30pm local time: ‘The search operation has moved to the south of the island. The search areas are Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas.’
