The Assistant Financial Controller began her journey at Seaham Hall before the Serenity Spa was completed, recalling the days when building work was still ongoing. Her commitment and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as she has been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Boutique Hotelier Unsung Hero in 2022 and the Power List Unsung Hero in 2023.

The assistant financial controller’s long tenure since 2002 has seen many achievements at Seaham Hall, but the best part of her job is “The people I work with”. She takes immense pride in her work, treating the hotel as if it were her own business and caring deeply for her colleagues.

One of Seaham Hall’s Housekeepers has been a dedicated member of the team for over 21 years and states, “I feel like I’m a part of the furniture now! As a parent, the location was (and still is) very convenient.” This housekeeper is particularly appreciative of the welcoming and friendly team at Seaham Hall stating, “Our team at Seaham Hall is like a family, we are a close-knit, hardworking bunch.

Seeing guests return year after year really affirms the quality of your work. One main highlight over my years here was when I travelled to Reims and experienced a private tour of Taittinger House, having dinner near the vineyards. This is just one example of the unparalleled opportunities staff at Seaham Hall are offered to aid service development.”
