Not only is he a medical registrar at Salford Royal, Dr Daniel Mills is an aquatic champion who scooped four medals at the recent championships held in Doha with two of them being gold.

Dr Mills said: “I have done competitive swimming for most of my life and this is the first time I took part in a World Masters Championship. To become a double world champion and receive two gold medals is amazing with all my hard work paying off.”

Daniel trains up to five times a week and is currently getting ready for the British Championships that is being held in April.
