Salford’s Barton Bridge was closed this evening after a double decker bus had its roof ripped off trying to get across
The road which runs under the Bridgewater Canal remains shut this morning until the Ports Authority can attend and assess / repair any damage.
In a statement Diamond Bus North West said that the “incident is under investigation”.
