Many public transport services will be operating an amended timetable on Monday 19th, with both bus and Metrolink services in Greater Manchester operating to a Sunday timetable.

A National Moment of Reflection to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy will take place at 8pm on Sunday 18 September.

This will be marked by a one-minute silence.

The silence can be marked privately at home, with friends and family, out on doorsteps or the street with neighbours, or at locally arranged community events and vigils.

Transport services will pause at 8pm on Sunday to observe the silence.

The State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19 September at 11am.

Just before midday, a two-minute silence will take place.

Metrolink services will pause at 11.50am, and will resume again following the completion of the two-minute silence.

Passengers on board will be notified when the silence begins.

The silence will also be observed at railway stations and at transport interchanges.

Metrolink services will operate to a Sunday timetable on Monday 19 September.

Trams will run from 7am until midnight with a 12-minute frequency across all lines.
