Prestwich Pride is back and bigger, brighter, and bolder than ever before! This much-loved Manchester LGBTQ+ community festival returns for its fourth year this week. With more events than years previous, and many being free to attend, there’s truly something for everyone.

Kicking off Thursday 7th August with ‘Drag Me to the Quiz’ hosted by local legend in the Queer scene, Miss Blair, at Hideout Bar Prestwich. Expect fun, fierce vibes, and plenty of laughs as you compete with your mates for glory and great prizes.

Saturday 9th August sees the return of the family favourite ‘Born To Be Wild Child’ entertaining the young ones in the morning at the Con Club as the village prepares for annual Pride Saturday festival at Cuckoo. This year’s line-up includes Manchester’s finest in action; Mix Stress, Decks on Legs, Sam Buttery, Jase Jeffery and many more. Launching at Wallop Prestwich, ‘Out After Dark’ is the new club night off Prestwich Pride, expect club, disco and funk as Mark Armitage, Nick Charles and Dusty UK take party goers into the early morning.

“We’re so grateful and excited to bring Prestwich Pride back for our fourth year and to welcome everyone to our biggest celebration yet!” says Matthew Cooper, Director and Communications Lead. “What started as a small grassroots event has grown into a five-day festival, fuelled by local talent, support and generosity. The event will continue to raise funds for George House Trust, who celebrate their 50th anniversary this year, as well as Trans Mutual Aid and Rainbow Noir.”

As part of the fundraising, the infamous Prestwich Pride raffle is back, with prizes up for grabs including Co op Live tickets, Shark Flex Style, Ticketmaster gift card and array of meals and experiences from a number of loved local business.
