The 2023 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, February 19, at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. There is currently a ton of fan voting going on for the potential starting lineup for this All-Star Game. This is always the case every single NBA season. There are those that deserve it, and there are those that don’t.

A lot of the time, it is just a popularity contest for the most part. The NBA odds are different for each NBA team to win the 2023 NBA Championship. What are the potential starting lineups in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game?

Western Conference

The Western Conference at the current moment isn’t as strong as it used to be in years past. The frontcourt in the west is very interesting. At the current moment, the three starters in the All-Star Game in the frontcourt would be Lebron James of the Los Angeles Lakers, Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers.

James, once again, is the current vote leader in the Western Conference at 6,506,682. Los Angeles is not a playoff team in the west currently, and they would have two starters which is a surprise in itself. The next two players behind those three in the front court are Zion Williamson of the New Orleans Pelicans and Andrew Wiggins of the Golden State Warriors.

Davis has been hurt this season, and so has Williamson. Wiggins has been on a hot and cold Warriors team this season, but he was one of the main reasons why Golden State won its fourth championship in eight seasons a season ago.

For the guard, the two starters would be Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks. This should come as a surprise to nobody. Curry is one of the most iconic players in the NBA and one of the best shooters in the league. Doncic currently has the Dallas Mavericks as one of the top teams in the Western Conference.

Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the NBA and could very well win the NBA MVP Award this season. After those two guards, Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder are the next two guards with the most votes in the conference.

Eastern Conference

In the Eastern Conference, it is more loaded than it has been in years past. The teams are deeper, and the all-stars are also deeper also. In the frontcourt, the current starters would be Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets, and Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics.

Antetokounmpo currently leads the Eastern Conference in NBA All-Star votes with 5,970,196. What’s astonishing is that Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers is having an amazing season himself, and he isn’t going to be starting in the 2023 NBA All-Star Game, most likely. That is how loaded the frontcourt is in the Eastern Conference this season.

Durant is currently injured, but hopefully, he is back for the Brooklyn Nets before then. The other player in the front court that is behind those four is Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat. As for the guards, Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets and Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers are the vote leaders at that position in the Eastern Conference.

Irving is always beloved by his fanbase, and Mitchell is one of the reasons why Cleveland is very good this season in the NBA. Donovan Mitchell is a scoring machine.

Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics and James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers are the next two vote leaders at the guard position for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. It will be interesting to see what the starters will be when all of the votes are counted.

When the starters are announced, it will also be interesting to see which reserves we will have for the Western Conference and the Eastern Conference.
