After having spent the past six weeks training intensively in Beswick, Great Britain women’s U19 water polo squad are ready to compete at the European U19 Championships in The Hague, The Netherlands, where they’ll face Italy, Bulgaria and Slovakia in the group phase. 

The 17-team competition will take place from September 10th-18th, 2016, and the other teams taking part are Russia, Hungary, France, Ukraine, Croatia, Spain, The Netherlands, Serbia, Romania, Greece, Germany, Israel and Turkey.

The squad was announced last Friday and includes three players from Manchester.

Rosie Huck (captain, City of Manchester), Annie Clapperton (City of Manchester), Beth Bolton (Liverpool), Hannah Patchett (Leeds/Otter), Lily Turner (Otter/Crawley), Sophie Jackson (Leeds), Izzy Dean (Otter), Isobel Howe (City of Manchester), Kathy Rogers (Otter/Seagulls), Kate Read (Cheltenham/Liverpool/Worcester), Katy Cutler (Southampton/Otter), Hannah Edwards (Menzieshill Whitehall) and Robyn Greenslade (Devonport).
