Police in Bury have seized more than 100 cannabis plants this morning following a raid at an address in Eldon Street

Police found in total 117 cannabis plants, all at the beginning of their grow-cycle.

Officers additionally discovered bypassed electricity in the property, which was subsequently secured and made safe. No arrests have been made at this time.

Sergeant Aaron McFadden, from GMP’s Bury Neighbourhood team, said: “We are committed to taking drugs off the streets of Bury and I am pleased with this morning’s finds. People who sell drugs ruin lives and don’t care for those who are left with addictions, financial problems and other issues.

“Our local neighbourhood team will continue to tackle criminality across Bury wherever it can be found – if it’s an issue for you, it’s an issue for us.
