Armed police officers detained eight 12 & 13 year olds at the Trafford Centre yesterday evening after receiving reports of an altercation between two groups of young people with a potential firearm.
The suspected firearm was found to be a gas powered BB gun.
13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, and assault. He remains in custody and is assisting officers with their on-going enquiries.
