Emergency services have been dealing with a chemical leak at a business premises on Trafford Park earlier today Police are currently dealing with a hazmat Tenax Road in Trafford Park.

Police attended the scene at Lanxess Solutions along with colleagues from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and North West Ambulance Service.

There has been no reported injuries and everyone at the business premises has been accounted for.

A spokesperson for LanXess Solutions says the chemical leak at their plant in Trafford Park has been stopped.

It’s been confirmed phosphorous oxychloride was leaked on the factory’s premesis during the unloading of a supplier’s tanker this morning.

Emergency services placed a 300m cordon is currently in place with residents and business being advised on health grounds to close all doors and windows while investigations continue with a number of surrounding roads have been closed as a precaution.
