Five men and one woman, aged between 18 and 42, have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs, and remain in custody for questioning following an early morning raid on a property on Hartington Street in Moss Side

Police also seized Class A and B drugs (suspected to be cocaine, heroin and MDMA), with an estimated value of over £40,000 have been seized, as well as bladed weapons (zombie knives).

Sergeant Gibb, from City of Manchester Moss Side and Hulme Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This morning’s activity is part of an ongoing operation to tackle anti-social behaviour and drug supply in Moss Side.

“We have listened to the concerns of the community around ASB issues and drug supply affecting the area and have acted on them. As a result, we launched Operation Monmouth last year which was set up to target these specific issues and this warrant was executed as part of that ongoing work.

“Today’s positive result shows a massive step in tackling issues in the area and our continued commitment to stamp out crime and solve problems that matter the most to our communities.”
