Police arrested twelve people during early morning raids today and recovered several thousands of pounds in cash and two kilos of cocaine.

The arrests were linked to two separate, ongoing, Class A drug supply investigations.

All of those arrested remain in our custody at this time.

Detective Superintendent Joe Harrop, who leads our approach to tackling organised crime, said, “These arrests are a significant step forward in a multitude of ongoing investigations and operations.

“We are continuing to make Greater Manchester a hostile place for organised criminals, removing harmful drugs and criminally gained cash from the streets.

“Earlier this year, we launched the region’s first drugs strategy, setting out how we would get to the root cause of drug criminality, take action against drug dealers, and support those impacted by drugs. Activity like today’s shows our commitment to delivering this and making a positive difference for our communities.”
