Police are this morning refreshing the public appeal for any help in finding Tony (also known as Anthony), as today marks one month since he was reported missing.

Tony from Timperley hasn’t been seen since Tuesday 19 December 2023.

Despite continuous searches and enquiries since the report came into GMP, Tony remains missing to this date.

There have been no new reported sightings of Tony since when he was captured on CCTV footage walking down Greenway towards Park Road at 11.12am on the day he went missing.

Searches have encompassed a full breadth of areas around where Tony was last seen, as well as areas he is familiar with and known to go to, and GMP are continuing to put boots on the ground and deploy specialist resources to look for him.

Tony is 62 years old, 6 feet 1 tall, and was last seen wearing blue cargo pants, a blue Berghaus fleece and a black coat. He was also carrying a backpack and was thought to have a small amount of cash on him.

This last month has been incredibly tough for Tony’s family and they continue to be supported by specially trained officers and a team of experienced detectives.

Tony’s son Simon said

“We are desperate for him to come home as soon as possible. As the concern for his wellbeing and not knowing where he is, is a daily struggle. Dad, we love you, please come home.”

The search has not stopped, GMP are still looking for Tony and are once again renewing the call for the public’s help in providing any piece of information that could inform new enquiries or lead to finding Tony.

Information can be shared with GMP by calling 101 and quoting log 1367 of 19 December 2023. In an emergency, you should call 999.

If you don’t want to speak to police and wish to remain anonymous, you can do so by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
