A major residential regeneration of a derelict brownfield site in the heart of Stalybridge, which will provide a mix of sustainable, affordable homes has been given the go ahead

The project which is funded by the Greater Manchester Pension Fund and will be carried out by Bankfoot APAM, includes new residential accommodation, ground-floor commercial space, improved public realm and enhanced connections to surrounding neighbourhoods and riverside

The scheme will see 44 townhouses and 58 apartments-There will be 56 car parking spaces and provision for cycle ports and will occupy the land currently used Harp Street car park and the land and which was once occupied by Rassbottom Mill

The scheme is expected to be completed by 2028
