A pedestrian suffered multiple, serious and life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car in Leigh this morning
The man in his 30’s was crossing the carriageway on Atherleigh Way when he was hit by an Audi travelling in the general direction of Atherton.
He was taken to hospital by air ambulance
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests have been made at this time.
Officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for information as they continue their enquiries.
The Road was closed in both directions between Kirkhall Lane to Lovers Lane.
