A man in his 40’s has died after being hit by a car in Bolton yesterday evening
The pedestrian was hit by a blue Jaguar XE was overtaking another vehicle on Chew Moor Lane when it appears to lose control and ends up on the pavement.
The driver of the Jaguar – a man in his 20s – was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage, from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
