An overhead line fault near Salford Quays is expected to impact Metrolink services on the Eccles line until further notice while repairs are carried out.
There are currently no trams running between Eccles and Pomona stops, with the Eccles line suspended until further notice. Trams will be running from Ashton-under-Lyne to Deansgate-Castlefield only.
Staff are out on the Metrolink network across the city centre and at affected stops on the Eccles line to help passengers get to their destinations safely.
Ticket acceptance is in place on local Bee Network buses, with a full list of services and further travel advice available on the TfGM website.
Ian Davies, TfGM’s Interim Metrolink Network Director, said: “We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing customers this morning.
“Engineering teams are on site and working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, but customers are advised to plan ahead, check before they travel and allow extra time for their journeys.”
