25 random searches were carried out by Rochdale Council’s housing enforcement team in Rochdale town centre as part of the recent Operation Tetbury week of action.
Issues found included tampered electrics, properties in breach of fire safety regulations, and unlicensed accommodation.
Our officers were able to serve notices on these businesses and make referrals to specialist teams for follow-up action.
This was part of a coordinated multi-partner effort to tackle issues in Rochdale town centre under Operation Tetbury – a long-term plan to improve the area for residents and visitors.
