Premiering in September 2019, written by actor and playwright Simon Woods, Hansard is a funny, sharp and entertaining play set in Thatcher’s Britain. Five years later, it’s still a searing reflection of the 1980s. The play is performed in the Lyceum’s basement theatre from Monday 30 September – Saturday 5 October 2024.
This two-hander is set in the Cotswold home of a Tory politician and his left-wing wife. On the surface, the witty repartee bounces off the walls, but the dirty underbelly reflects the political landscape and tackles difficult issues and how these two very different characters tackle them.
Lyceum Theatre Oldham is well known for sumptuous sets, strong acting and sell out performances. They’re planning nothing less for this, the first play in their 2024/25 Season.
Ticket prices haven’t risen since 2021 so you can pick up tickets for only £12 each or Season Tickets are still on sale for only £55 each (for all five productions in the season).
