Oasis, Joy Division and New Order are among a record number of British performers who are to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

The brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher led a musical revolution that changed global rock forever. Their debut album Definitely Maybe became a generational anthem, selling millions worldwide. The induction reconnects fans to the band’s turbulent but brilliant legacy.

Oasis helped revitalize rock as a mainstream force when guitar music seemed endangered. Their raw energy and catchiness made them unstoppable cultural forces during the ’90s.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Nov. 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

“Reverse psychology vibes in the area Oasis RnR hall of farmers I mean famers,” Liam Gallagher tweeted this morning. “I wanna thank all the people who voted for us it’s a real honour ever since I was a little kid and singing in the shower I’d dream about 1 day being in the RnR hall of fame it’s true what they say anything is possible if you have a dream.”
