Manchester’s award-winning aparthotel unveils an expanded offering with 28 new rooms
Native Manchester, part of Native Places – one of the UK’s leading lifestyle aparthotel brands – has unveiled an expansion to its room portfolio.
Responding to growing demand for short stays, where guests simply want a stylish and comfortable place to sleep without the need for self-catering facilities, Native Manchester has introduced new double rooms category. This expansion makes the aparthotel’s offering more accessible, ensuring it caters to an even wider range of travellers, and further enhancing its position as a leading destination for flexible short and long stays in the heart of the city.
The award-winning aparthotel, renowned for its seamless blend of industrial heritage and contemporary design, now boasts a total of 192 rooms. The expansion includes 14 new one-bedroom apartments and 14 double rooms, available to book now from £99 per night.

The new double rooms are designed for guests seeking the best of both worlds – a beautifully designed space with all the character and quality Native Manchester is known for, but in a classic hotel-style format. Ideal for shorter stays and those seeking a more traditional hotel experience, it is suited for those who prefer a streamlined stay without the need for self-contained facilities. The double rooms provide the perfect balance of affordability and luxury, making them the entry-level and competitive option within Native Manchester’s collection.
Native Manchester is celebrated for its unique interiors, featuring bespoke Conran furniture, super king-sized beds, and its signature industrial aesthetic, all set within a striking Grade II-listed building. The new rooms, designed by the original architects Archer Humphryes, stay true to this theme, with exposed brickwork, original pillars, and an urban yet homely feel.
The expansion was achieved by reconfiguring existing two-bedroom apartments into one-bedroom apartments and double rooms, offering guests even greater variety. These additions cater to the needs of classic hotel guests for short stays while retaining Native’s charm and high standards.
In line with Native Places’ commitment to sustainability, the new rooms incorporate eco-friendly technology. A master switch by the entrance allows guests to easily turn off all lights and the TV upon leaving, helping to conserve energy and reduce the property’s environmental impact.
With phase one of the expansion complete, the new rooms on the third and fourth floors are already available to book now. Phase two, with additional rooms on the first and second floors are due for completion at the end of March 2025, in time for spring travellers.
Rates for the new rooms start from £99 per night. To experience the reimagined Native Manchester and book a stay, visit www.nativeplaces.com/property/ native-manchester.
