NAM is one of those unique Manchester places. The venue is split between a Vietnamese kitchen serving authentic dishes using traditional cooking techniques (learnt from their Mum) and small plates using fresh ingredients from trusted local suppliers.

You can enjoy anything from summer rolls to piping hot bowls of pho – and on weekends they offer a bottomless brunch until 2.30pm (£30pp for 90 minutes.) They are possibly the only place in town to serve a Vietnamese inspired Sunday roast with pho gravy.

The bar stocks a great range of craft ales and beers, both on draught and in bottles, alongside some of their personal Asian favourites plus wines that can happily stand up alongside fragrant herbs and spices. The cocktail list is also inspired by the Far East with drinks containing ingredients like coconut rum, lemongrass and Vietnamese coffee.

Regulars enjoy coming for cocktails and street food, but the independent and family run venue is also a ‘listening space’ with Manchester’s only superior audiophile sound system. A refined programme of genre-crossing DJs soundtrack the basement every Thursday to Saturday night and occasionally they host some very special guests.

Aloha Got Soul

NAM is presenting an exciting Sunday session next week, bringing a touch of Hawaii to Manchester.

The record label archiving sounds of Hawaii, Aloha Got Soul, will take to NAM’s basement for a Sunday special on the 23rd October.

Expect an exploration into obscure, underground, and lesser-known music from Hawaii, bound not by genre or generation but by a connection to the islands.

NAM’s basement is a hi-fi lounge located in the heart of Ancoats. A place to relax, unwind and listen to the finest DJs from Manchester and the UK. Grab some Vietnamese small plates, Asian-inspired cocktails or a pilsner (£4.95 for a pint – one of the cheapest pints in town) and soak up the soundtrack.

Entry is free and the event will run from 7pm till 11pm.
