The Ivy Spinningfields has introduced an indulgent new Winter menu for the colder months filled with timeless classics and comforting new flavours.
New options to start include roast pumpkin and butternut squash soup (£8.95) served with truffle ricotta, pine nuts, and sage, or a duck liver parfait (£8.75) with caramelised hazelnuts.

For mains, it’s all about heart-warming flavours of the season. Main courses include an aromatic duck curry (£19.25) served in a Keralan sauce with sweet potato and jasmine rice, or guests can choose some of The Ivy’s signature dishes from the classics section of the menu such as fish & chips or shepherd’s pie (£15.95) made with slow braised lamb, beef, red wine sauce, and a cheese potato mash.
There is also plenty of choice from the grill, whether it’s a classic hamburger, a steak or pan-fried lemon sole with brown shrimp and beurre noisette. Portions are generous as we founf out recently when we were offered a half chicken off the bone with wild mushroom sauce and rocket.
We recommend you leave room for desserts because to finish, guests can choose from a selection including an apple tart (£9.95) baked on a crispy puff pastry and flamed table-side with Calvados liqueur and a coconut panacotta (£8.95) accompanied with slices of pineapple poached in vanilla and sugar syrup. If you’re after a showstopper, The Ivy also offer a pyramid of profiteroles (£30). Designed to serve four guests, they come stuffed with vanilla ice cream and topped with warm chocolate sauce and – because it’s The Ivy of course – edible gold flakes.
Alongside the new dishes, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of impressive mocktails to ease you through the tail end of Dry January, and beyond. The Ivy Spinningfields has teamed up with non-alcoholic spirit wizards Lyre’s to create a series of delightful non-alcoholic cocktails – I swear you would never know the difference taste-wise.
With so many people cutting down or giving up booze in favour of hangover-free mornings, this is a great idea. We tried a few of them starting with a refreshing Orchid and Apple Mojito (£7.50) and a Blood Orange Spritz (£7.50) with Lyres non-alcoholic Italian spirit, which was almost indistinguishable from the classic Aperol Spritz.
The Angelic Amaretti Sour (£7.50), crafted with Lyre’s non-alcoholic Amaretti was like a delicious Bakewell tart in liquid form and, La Fee Verte (£7.50) made with Lyres non-alcoholic absinthe was also a cracking little drink.
Lisa Biard, General Manager at The Ivy Spinningfields says: “We’re delighted to be bringing a range of classic dishes and mocktails to the menu this January and look forward to welcoming guests for a warming experience this winter season.”
