Growing up in Stretford Lusaint never thought a career in music was possible. Fast forward to 2024 and Lusaint has dispelled her own theory by clocking over seventy million streams to date and proving herself as one of the UK’s hottest newcomers. After a hugely successful year, Lusaint now announces two headline shows for March 2025 in London’s Camden Assembly on Wednesday 12th March and Manchester’s Night & Day on Friday 14th March. Tickets are available from Friday 24th January at 10am here.
Lusaint was inspired from an early age by the jazz and blues sounds found in her parents’ extensive music collection. It was the hits of such as Ella Fitzgearld and Nina Simone that drew her in. At the beginning of her career, she spent her time singing covers of classic artists such as these, posting them online and performing in local bars and restaurants.
From 2019, everything changed. Lusaint’s cover of En Vogue ‘Don’t Let Go’ received airtime on a popular UK TV show and was crowned the UK’s most Shazam’d song in one day. A cover of ‘Wicked Game’ followed which has generated over 30 million views on YouTube alone. After signing with Heavenly Fire, Lusaint then began to release her own original music with her 2023 debut ‘Dark Horse.’ Her timeless and distinctive voice saw immediate support flooding in for the Mancunion singer. The releases that followed continued to dazzle listeners and beckon more people to shout about Lusaint.
Released in September 2024, Lusaint’s debut Self Sabotage EP has achieved over 10 million streams globally, over 80 editorial playlists across all major streaming platforms, 20x BBC R1 spins from Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri, Future Pop, Vicky Hawkesworth, Victoria Jane, BBC Introducing Manchester and fantastic PR support from Notion, Wonderland, Notion, F Word and more.
Lusaint has performed her original music at some of the most iconic venues around the UK such as Notting Hill Arts Club, Band On The Wall, YES! and The Troubadour and joined some astonishing lineups across 2024 supporting artists Raye, Tom Grennan, Nia Archives, Jess Glynne, JC Stewart in the UK; and James Blunt, Chris Isaak and Dire Straits in France playing at major festivals such as Boardmasters, BBC Introducing, The Great Escape, Neighbourhood Festival, Islington Assembly Hall, Royal Albert Hall Manchester and sold out her debut tour in France, selling over 1,500 tickets in May followed by an additional 8 date tour in November selling 1,800 tickets.
