MALACUNA, one of Europe’s fastest-growing lifestyle hostel brands, has just launched in Manchester’s Northern Quarter with rooms from just £41 per night. Already established across Spain and Portugal, MALACUNA brings a bold new concept to the city: design-led accommodation that doesn’t compromise on style, location or social atmosphere.

With Manchester ranking as a top UK destination for domestic and international visitors,MALACUNA offers an alternative to traditional hotels for solo travellers, young professionals and city breakers – set in the heart of the Northern Quarter, close to its independent shops, music venues and creative scene.

MALACUNA Manchester features 37 rooms and 132 beds, all newly renovated under the brand’s design-led identity. Guests can choose from shared dorms or private rooms, each designed to offer comfort, character and a sense of connection to the city.

The hostel centres around Wilson’s, a Northern Quarter institution and its lively 200-capacity

in-house bar and restaurant. Open to both travellers and locals, Wilson’s hosts regular DJs, comedy nights and sports screenings – giving visitors a ready-made social scene from the moment they check in, all in a space refreshed with contemporary design while keeping its Manc character.

The Northern Quarter location puts guests on the doorstep of independent shops, creative studios, music venues and some of the city’s best food and drink, making MALACUNA an ideal base for exploring Manchester.

MALACUNA Manchester is open now; room prices start at just £41 per night. Rooms range from private doubles to private or shared dorms of 4, 6 or 8 beds.
