Police have now arrested a 36-year-old man in relation to the dog attack on a 6-year-old girl in Carrington at the weekend
The man, from the Carrington area of Trafford, was on suspicion of offences under Section 3 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and perverting the course of justice.
He remains in custody for questioning whilst investigations are ongoing.
The girl remains in hospital receiving treatment.
So far 17 dogs have been seized.
