A 44-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a female at an address in Baguley,
The woman in her 30s was tragically pronounced dead at the scene at Lulworth Gardens earlier today
Superintendent Gayle Brister said: “Whilst the investigation is still in early stages, I want to reassure the public that our officers are working tirelessly and following all lines of enquiry to establish the full circumstances of this tragic incident.
“We understand it may cause concern across our communities, however we believe there is no wider risk to the public.
“Specialist officers are in place to support the family throughout the investigation.
“We currently have a man in custody and a police cordon remains in place at the scene. I urge anyone with information or any witnesses to please come forward and report.”
