A man has been arrested on suspicion of manufacturing an explosive device after the bomb squad was called out to Fallowfield last night.
A scene remains in place at a property on Wilmslow Road,this morning.
Residents were evacuated from several flats in the area with police, paramedics and bomb squad officers in attendance
Police say that there to be no wider threat to the community.
