A man in his 30’s has been arrested in Bolton on suspicion of attempted murder after attacking another male in a shop in front of staff and members of the public.
Police were called to the store on Kentmere Road, Breightmet, at around 7:50pm on Saturday to reports of man holding a machete.
The machete was used to attack a man in the shop, who suffered several injuries including to his head and shoulder, and is being treated in hospital.
His attacker caused extensive damage to the shop and fled the scene
