A Taste of Polish Romance: Platzki’s Valentine’s Day Feast
Platzki invites diners to experience an extra special romantic menu this Valentine’s. Begin with elegant starters: Duck Breast Tartare with roasted hazelnuts, Roasted Beetroot Tartare with cottage cheese and walnuts, and savoury Georgian Aubergine Rolls.
For the main course, choose the indulgent Pan-Fried Fillet, served with a red wine and dark chocolate jus, white vegetable mash, and fresh blackberries or opt for the Roasted Cauliflower Steak. Alternatively enjoy delicate Pan-Fried Halibut Fillet with lobster sauce, courgettes, and carrot ribbons is the perfect choice.
Finish with Naleniki—golden crepes with orange, mascarpone, and a hint of rum.
Raise a glass to love with the Sweet, Sweet Love cocktail, a blend of chocolate vodka, orange, pomegranate syrup, and coffee.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with the ‘Love in Bloom’ Menu at Suki Suki
Suki Suki located in the Great Northern Warehouse, is offering a special three-course set menu, Love in Bloom, available from 14th to 16th February for just £30 per person.
The experience begins with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, followed by a choice of starter: vegetable gyoza, bang bang karaage chicken, or teriyaki tiger prawns.
For the main course, select from Nagoya ramen, szechuan chicken, katsu curry, or pad Thai. To finish, indulge in a dessert of double chocolate dragon egg with vanilla ice cream, brownie, and strawberries, or a creamy white chocolate and honeycomb cheesecake.
NOTE: The street food bar will now be open until 12am on Saturdays and Sundays, offering all of the favourite dishes from the menu. Additionally, Suki Suki will also be open until 4am on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, serving up tasty munch boxes and street food – the ideal way to wrap up a night out!
A Romantic Spanish Escape at Evuna This February…
Evuna is already renowned as one of Manchester’s most romantic spots – a hidden gem serving authentic Spanish tapas and award-winning Spanish wines. This February, their Deansgate location in the Great Northern is offering something extra special for couples and wine lovers alike.
The exclusive Valentine’s menu begins with a starter of king prawn tempura with spicy paprika sauce, followed by grilled chicken thighs with crispy potatoes and romesco sauce for the main. For those looking for a truly unique experience, Evuna will host a Bodegas Sommos wine tasting event on February 26th at 6:30 PM. Led by Carmen, the event will feature six carefully chosen wines, each paired with food to enhance the tasting experience.

From Wednesday 12th to Saturday 15th February, James Martin Manchester invites couples to indulge in a truly unforgettable Valentine’s experience. Upon arrival, guests will be greeted with a glass of bubbles, setting the stage for an evening of romance and exceptional dining.
The three-course menu includes an enticing choice of starters such as Chicken, Red Pepper & Focaccia Terrine or a White Onion Veloute, served with truffles and chives.
The highlight of the evening is the Steak & Lobster sharer: a 10oz dry-aged sirloin steak paired with half a grilled lobster, garlic and herb butter, dripping chips, chargrilled broccolini, and a peppercorn sauce. A vegetarian option, the Provençal Vegetable Pithivier with tomato and cumin sauce, offers a vibrant alternative.
Desserts include a rich Chocolate & Pistachio Fondant and pistachio gelato, or a refreshing Classic Lemon Tart with torched meringue and raspberry sorbet.

For the forgetful and last minute gift-buyers or just budding creatives, lovers can head to the Great Northern Warehouse on February 13th for a creative card-making session with GRIT artist Jordan O’Brien. Creating a card personalised card is bound to earn brownie points!
There will be two sessions on the day, one 12–2pm and again from 5–8pm. Lovers can find Jordan at 285 Deansgate (the quirky pink studio on Great Northern’s Deansgate strip). Jordan will guide budding creatives through making a handmade card that’s sure to impress. He’ll have a selection of templates ready, but for those feeling adventurous, he’ll be there to help create something totally unique. With all the materials provided, it’s the perfect opportunity to try something new, get out of the doghouse, or simply show someone how much you care.
As part of the @peoplewithgrit collective, Jordan’s bringing his artistic flair to the day, making it a fun and inspiring way to spend your afternoon or evening.
