The Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis who flew back from the province yesterday evening to join the group of ministers asking the Prime Minister to resign has himself resigned this morning
Lewis in his resignation letter,Lewis said that a decent and responsible Government relies on honesty, integrity and mutual respect
“It is a matter of profound personal regret that I must leave Government as I no longer believe those values are being upheld.”
Lewis has been joined by the security minister Damian Hinds and Treasury minister Helen Whately telling Boris Johnson there “are only so many times you can apologise and move on”.
