The Liberal Democrat’s have held the seat of the Quays Ward in yesterday’s by election for Salford Council
Their candidate Paul Heilbron beat his nearest contender Labour’s Elizabeth McCoy by 219 votes to hold the ward vacated by Alex Warren after his move to take up a position in Watford
The turnout in the by election was just 12.95 per cent
