A Lake District theatre is to be named after Bury’s own Victoria Wood
The Old Laundry Theatre in Windermere is to be renamed the Victoria Wood Theatre from January
A brand new musical will debut at the theatre in 2026 using songs from her Victoria Wood Song Book Lucky Bag on the 1st May
The musical follows Peggy, who reconnects with her former best friend Lou at a local slimming club, exploring friendship, nostalgia and renewal through Wood’s songs
